Izmir Bike Shops

Below you can find the local bike shops in Izmir. The shops are generally small, but the expertise is quite good. All the shops speak enough English to get you the right bike or part.

From south to north, Ata Bisiklet (www.atabisiklet.com) carries the Scott brand and has quite a selection from their catalog. He's a marathon racer and good mechanic. His store is set back from the road about 50', look for the large yellow sign. ///

Just north of Konak and two streets inland from the Kordon is a quality bike shop owned by Nevzat. Nevzat speaks good English and German; his salesman, Ali, speaks some English and is an experienced mountain biker. They carry the Whistle brand including some high end models, as well as many Shimano components. ///

About 1km to the east and caddy corner to Kemiralti is a Bianchi shop owned by Husnu. There are about ten small shops here, look for the blue Bianchi sign. He's a good English speaker. They carry reasonably priced Whistle and Bianchi bikes and can fix anything. A new shop has opened 1km west of Ata, called Doruk Bisiklet (big green sign about 50m from the road). Mustafa and Erdem carry Spcialized, Orbea, Mosso, and others. Great selection of SRAM, Shimano, Crank Brothers, etc. Lastly is an outdoor store, Titus (www.titus.com.tr), that carries Trek mountain bikes and some clothing **the location shown is now closed. It has moved into Balcova's Palmiye shopping mall**.
